Glitter Gel Pen Book Club was founded by sisters Brittany and Ellese Ferdinands, academics who would rather debrief a romance plot over a glass of pét-nat than pretend to exclusively enjoy 19th-century literary classics. Alongside their bestie, Katrina Chan, they set out to create a book club that was fun, feel-good, and gave like-minded women the chance to connect and romanticise everyday life. That's how GGP was born.

• Supper Club Series: Our signature dinner-party experience, built around good food/wine and finding an excuse to finally try all those cute venues saved in your notes app. Expect prompts and worksheets, but the vibe is intentionally flowier and more relaxed.

• Sip Series: Smaller, more intimate, and a little more structured. Perfect for focused discussion, with curated questions, cosy conversation, and nibbles and wine instead of larger set menus.

• Studio Series: From ceramics and Pilates to bouquet making and craft workshops, these pair our monthly read with a creative, tactile experience. Great for first-time guests who enjoy having something to do as they settle in.

• Streaming Series: For when pop culture is the main character. Think album listening parties, finales, and watch nights, followed by real-time debriefs.

• Social Club Series: Pay-as-you-go catch-ups, just like seeing friends. No tickets, no pressure, just flexible, easy connection. Join the group chat here to find out about our latest social meet-ups!

• Silent Reading Sessions: For the busy girlies who buy books faster than they can read them. Join us at our favourite Sydney venues, sip a glass of something, settle into a cosy corner, and spend an hour reading alongside a room full of like-minded women.
  

You can join GGP via the sign-up form on our homepage. Along with our Instagram, this is the best way to stay across upcoming ticket releases! We create a group chat for every meet-up so you can stay in touch with your new book club besties. Once you’ve attended your first GGP event, you’ll also be added to our Close Friends list on IG for early access (and a little discount) on future events ♡

Yes, most of our girlies come solo. Glitter Gel Pen Book Club is designed as a welcoming social club where it’s easy to meet like-minded women and make new friends. Every event is thoughtfully set up to keep conversation flowing and help you connect naturally, so it never feels awkward. If you’re feeling a little nervous, feel free to DM us; we’ve got you 🤍

Ticket prices vary by venue, but we always aim to keep our events accessible and great value. Each ticket covers your food and wine, GGP goodies, group booking fees, and all the behind-the-scenes planning that goes into creating a seamless, beautiful experience, plus a few wholesome hours of connection and escapism. Let’s be real: being a girl who loves dining out, collecting books, and maintaining a social life in Sydney isn’t cheap. That’s why we run GGP for the community, not for profit.

You can receive a full refund up to 14 days before the event. After this, refunds are only available if your ticket is successfully resold. Tickets resold by GGP after this period incur a $10 admin fee to cover promotion and processing. To avoid this fee, you’re welcome to resell your ticket yourself via the GGP group chats or the Humanitix resale platform. To resell on Humanitix, open your confirmation email, click 'Manage Order', and select the 'Resale' tab. Once your ticket is sold, refunds are processed within 2–5 days. Events

• Attendance is voluntary and at your own risk.

• Glitter Gel Pen Book Club cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage that may occur during an event.

• Please be kind, inclusive and respectful to all guests, venues and staff.

• Photos and videos may be captured at our events for marketing purposes. If you'd prefer not to be included, simply let one of our team members know.

• If an event is not held at a licensed venue, you're welcome to bring your own food and drinks.

• In the unlikely event that an event is postponed or cancelled, we'll provide as much notice as possible.

• Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the event via Humanitix. After this period, refunds can only be issued if your ticket is successfully resold, either by you or by us.

Merchandise

• We currently ship Australia-wide only.

• Orders are typically dispatched within 2–5 business days. Shipping timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on Australia Post.

• If you choose Event Pickup, it's your responsibility to let us know which GGP event you'll be attending by emailing hello@glittergelpenbookclub.com with your order number and the subject line "Order Pickup."

• Due to the nature of our merch products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.

• If your order arrives damaged or you've received an incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@glittergelpenbookclub.com, and we'll work with you to resolve the issue.

• Our notebooks are made from 100% recycled paper. Natural flecks, speckles and slight variations are a characteristic of recycled paper, making every notebook unique. These variations are not considered faults.
